One of our members will host the 3rd annual UFO Conference at Westmoreland Community College in Youngwood Pa on Sat Oct 16th. The conference runs from 10am-6pm and will feature 6 nationally acclaimed speakers. Private Assets for Region Responders (PARR)

Please consider listing assets, both physical as well as personnel, to have available for use by our Region 13 emergency responders.

When disaster strikes, our business community is often the first to lend critical assets such as trucks, storage space, pumps, etc., and expert personnel. Private Assets for Region Responders (PARR) takes our region's business community's inherent willingness to support with physical assets and critical personnel, and organize them in an easily accessed computerized database.

Protecting Your Business, Your Family and Yourself from the H1N1 ("Swine Flu") Virus

Novel H1N1 is a new strain of influenza that spreads from person-to-person just as the seasonal flu does, and is expected to be widespread this flu season.

Vaccines are the best tool we have to prevent influenza. CDC hopes that people will start to go out and get vaccinated against seasonal influenza as soon as vaccines become available at their doctor’s offices and in their communities.

If you normally get a flu shot each fall, do not wait until the H1N1 vaccine is available to get your regular flu shot. The novel H1N1 vaccine is not intended to replace the seasonal flu vaccine – it is intended to be used along-side seasonal flu vaccine.
